We are a very special school. We have an outstanding team of highly trained educators on our campus, and the pastoral care levy contributes to providing this excellent team. The annual levy is therefore compulsory for all students because each student benefits from the specialist support we provide within the school. The level of pastoral support varies for each student, however, we provide an extra level of security by assuring parents that if their child experiences difficulties, whether they are academic, social emotional or family-based issues, we can use the pastoral care in place at the school to best assist them through these difficulties. Early intervention is key, and this is only possible when the correct resources are in place.

We are committed to providing the best possible services in our school. Pro Education has now implemented a new, integrated treatment approach, meaning that the majority of the school’s students benefit from interacting with our Specialist Support Team. The Packages of Care approach is based on current best practice for specialists working in school settings. This recommends that therapy should be integrated into the classroom as much as possible, so that students are learning skills in-situ, and so that teaching staff can also implement strategies to support them throughout the school day. Specialists also run group therapy, so that students can learn from their peers and practice skills with a range of different communication partners. One to one therapy and paired therapy are also offered, this is mainly granted when the student is not yet ready to join a group or if there is a very specific skill for them to work on. Research suggests that this approach to therapy, where skills are practiced across multiple settings and with multiple communication partners, leads to generalisation (the application of skills taught in therapy, across multiple environments). This whole school approach will therefore lead to optimal outcomes for the students, and also allows for our teaching staff to receive regular training and modelling by the Specialist Support Team.

The Packages of Care approach allows for the majority of Pro Education students to access some form of specialist support. This may be in the classroom in co-taught lessons, in group therapy, paired therapy or individual therapy. Access to this is dependent on the needs of your child, and is granted at the discretion of the Specialist Support Team. The process begins when you enrol in the school. You are welcome to share any concerns or goals that you have for your child then. The Specialist Support Team may then put together an appropriate Package of Care. The Teachers are also welcome to upgrade the Package of Care at any time in the school term, if they feel your child would benefit from further support. For example, a child may initially receive co-taught lessons for Geography with the Speech and Language Therapist (SLT), then if the teacher raises concerns the SLT may include them in a Vocabulary Group for additional support. This support will become a part of their individualised timetable. Please understand that your goals are our goals, we value that you are trusting us with the development of your child, and we will work with you to help them to exceed their potential. We openly discuss with you the Package of Care your child will receive, and we appreciate you trusting our professional judgement on the best package for your child.

Every child is different, so why should their education be the same? Pro Education offers an individualised timetable. This means that we can tailor your child’s school day to best support them and help them to flourish. Our dedicated team of school staff will assess your child’s study needs, preferences and goals, and then ensure their specialised timetable helps them to achieve this. For example, if English is your child’s second language, we will alter their timetable so it includes extra sessions with our specialist ESL teacher during the school day. For our students enrolled on the Towards Independence program, their timetable may include a selection of the accessible classes taken by the students in the mainstream school, such as Geography or IT. This form of individualised education means your child can make the most out of their school day.
|
We offer a limited number of after school sessions for tutoring and therapy (Speech and Language, Occupational Therapy & Counselling) for children who are not students at Pro Education.
|
We are able to provide a range of informative assessments onsite. This includes assessment from our Speech and Language Therapist and Occupational Therapist. This may be included in your child's Package of Care if they are enrolled in the school. We also organise regular visits from an Educational Psychologist, who can assess your child's learning profile. These assessments will be arranged at an additional cost to parents, due to the expense in organising this highly specialist service.

We are proud to have such a broad range of extracurricular activities. We believe this contributes to developing the whole child, by giving them a range of tasks to engage in which can broaden their skills and interests. Please click here for this term’s lunchtime and after school extracurricular activities. These activities change a little every term and the majority of which are free for Pro Education students (there are exceptions to this as some activities require hired equipment or an external teacher).

Our school believes that Education is so much more than learning in the classroom setting. We provide an exciting learning journey, that will encourage your child to develop into a well-rounded, global young adult. Our approach to education provides the opportunity to develop knowledge, understanding, life skills and critical thinking. We are committed to small class sizes with a 1:6 teacher to student ratio, ensuring your child will get the individualised attention and support they need. Throughout our primary school and high school, including our Towards Independence classes, we follow the International British Curriculum, with the core subjects English, Mathematics and Science. Our dedicated team of educators are able to individualise to the strengths and needs, as well as encouraging and developing their personal goals. In addition to this, we are one of the only schools on the island with a team of specialists on site. This includes a Speech and Language therapist, Counsellor, Occupational Therapist and extra support for Maths and English as a second language. Your child will have full access to these extra services if necessary. We will work as a collaborative team around your child, ensuring we provide the optimal learning environment.

We have had several success stories of transition from Homeschool to Pro Education. This is because we are a flexible learning environment, and are able to individualise to the strengths and needs of each student. We prefer to place children in a grade with their age-mates, because they will have similar interests and understanding, which will help them to develop good friendships. Please speak to us about how we can create a personalised timetable, and the additional support we can offer your child.
|
We want every child to have access to the right education and the right time, although it is preferable for students to enrol at the start of the term, if there are extenuating circumstances we are happy to make exceptions. Please be aware, that we have a waiting list for many of our grades, so our ability to accept new students is dependent on this.

When you're considering Pro Education for your child, you can contact our enrolment officer at pr@proed.asia for a tour around the school. If you’re located overseas or are unable to visit the school, she will happily send you more information and/or plan a video call. After this first meeting we would like to welcome your child for a free two day trial, to get to know your child better and for you to see if our school is the right fit for your family. If you would like to enrol after the trial, our enrolment officer will send you an enrolment book and a quote or invoice. Once this documentation is completed and the invoice is paid, your child can join their new classmates and teachers at Pro Education.
|
We are committed to our small class sizes, because of this, the spaces in each grade fill up quickly. If you have visited the school and intend to enrol your child, you can contact our enrolment officer to check for availability and request to be placed on the waiting list. Parents are invited to pay an optional deposit which will secure your child’s place as soon as it becomes available.

We are proud of the diversity within our school, which hosts over 21 different nationalities, leading to an enriched global community. Our team of educators consist of Indonesian National teachers and Expats (native English speakers). We ensure that English/Literacy subjects are taught by our native English speaking teachers. The other lessons are mostly taught by our highly skilled National teachers, who receive regular professional development, to ensure we are providing quality first teaching in all of our classes. Pro Education is an English speaking school. However, we offer excellent support for children learning English as a second language. Additional support will be added to their individualised timetable.
