Sport and Physical Education activities are timetabled for students twice a week and form a key part of the learning program. These activities encourage students to stay active, develop new skills, and manage their health and well-being. In addition we hold community and family sporting events out of school hours. Sport and Physical Education sessions take place in organised group settings, where students engage in team and individual activities. Students attend these sessions with our four Physical Education teachers at our ProEducation School campus dedicated covered sports area and field. Some classes are held at the nearby Finns Recreation Club in Canggu, where we hold a company membership.
Our younger students have regular lessons at the swimming pool and their classes include development of their perceptual motor skills (PMP) as well as learning age appropriate team games.
Sports and Physical Education are an integral part of life in High School (Years 7-13). Students engage in a variety of invasion games & net games utilizing the large indoor space we have. Students partake in a variety of games, where they learn to apply skills within game play. Students also partake in games regardless of their level of ability, with an inclusive minded framework centred around PE. Older students are given the chance to attend "off campus " PE where we utilize excellent local facilities. This includes Gyms, Sporting Complexes and Yoga and Fitness studios.
Our professional Physical Education team work alongside our specialists including the occupational therapist and school counsellor to ensure individual needs are met and included in the program. They also ensure that the school values are emphasised during their lessons, with sport being a highly social activity that can build confidence and encourage effective communication, empathy and kindness.
