Purpose

The School Counsellor plays a vital role in supporting the health and wellbeing of students from Reception through Year 9. Qualifications & Experience

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide one-on-one counselling and group sessions for students who require emotional or behavioural support, both ongoing and "drop-in" cases.
  • Maintain and manage a caseload of students in need of support, documenting sessions via Google Calendar to be shared weekly with the Deputy Head of School and Head of School.
  • Respond to emerging student needs, collaborating with teachers, parents, and leadership when necessary to support student wellbeing.
  • Lead one wellbeing lesson per term for each year level from Year 3 to Year 9. This includes planning and discussing the lesson content with the relevant teaching teams to ensure integration with the curriculum and addressing specific student needs.
  • Oversee and deliver sex education lessons for upper primary and middle school students, ensuring content is age-appropriate and aligned with the Cambridge curriculum guidelines.
  • Provide child protection education to students across the school, focusing on personal safety, boundaries, and understanding of rights.
  • Work with teachers to embed child protection education in appropriate subject areas and activities.
  • Serve as a key figure in the school’s child protection framework, ensuring staff and students are educated and aware of safeguarding protocols.

Purpose

Purpose

The Corporate HR serves as the strategic leader of the school’s HR operations, responsible for developing and overseeing the implementation of HR strategies and policies across both campuses. This role plays a key part in shaping a positive, inclusive, and high-performing work culture aligned with the school’s goals and educational excellence.


Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Psychology, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Minimum 7 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Experience managing HR for multi-site or multi-campus organizations preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of Indonesian labor law and HR best practices.
  • Proven experience in strategic HR planning and policy development.
  • Proficient in English.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Experience in education, international schools, or NGOs is a strong advantage.
  • Proficient in HRIS systems, Microsoft Office, and digital collaboration tools.

Duties & Responsibilities

 

  1. Strategic HR Leadership
    • Develop and execute the overall HR strategy in alignment with the school’s vision, mission, and long-term goals.
    • Serve as a strategic advisor to the school’s executive leadership on human capital planning, organizational design, and workforce development.
    • Lead initiatives that support organizational growth, staff retention, and a positive working culture across campuses.
  2. HR Policy & Compliance
    • Design, review, and implement HR policies and procedures that are consistent, compliant with Indonesian labor laws, and tailored to the needs of an international education environment.
    • Ensure HR policies are clearly communicated and understood by all employees.
    • Manage internal audits and ensure documentation is maintained for legal and regulatory compliance.
  3. Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning
    • Lead the planning and execution of recruitment strategies to attract high-quality faculty and staff, both locally and internationally.
    • Collaborate with school leadership to assess hiring needs, build workforce plans, and streamline the hiring process across campuses.
    • Oversee employer branding, onboarding, and orientation processes to ensure a professional and welcoming candidate experience.
  4. Performance Management & Development
    • Oversee the implementation of performance evaluation systems that support professional growth and organizational goals.
    • Provide guidance to school leadership and line managers on performance conversations, feedback, and goal-setting.
    • Identify training and development needs; design programs that promote capacity-building and continuous learning.
  5. Employee Relations & Culture Building
    • Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture rooted in respect, equity, and engagement.
    • Address employee concerns and grievances in a professional and timely manner; act as a mediator in conflict resolution where needed.
    • Monitor staff morale, engagement, and satisfaction across both campuses; lead employee surveys and follow-up initiatives.
  6. Compensation, Benefits & HR Operations
    • Review and manage the school’s compensation structure to ensure competitiveness and internal equity.
    • Oversee benefits programs, contracts, and employment documentation, ensuring clarity and accuracy for all staff members.
    • Monitor HR metrics such as turnover rates, absenteeism, and retention, using data to inform improvements and decisions.
  7. Cross-Campus HR Alignment
    • Ensure consistency and coherence in HR practices, communications, and decisions across both campuses.
    • Collaborate with campus leadership teams to ensure each site’s unique operational needs are supported while maintaining unified HR standards.
    • Facilitate inter-campus HR coordination, including shared services, internal transfers, and succession planning.
  8. Digital HR Systems & Process Improvement
    • Oversee the implementation and optimization of HRIS and digital tools to increase efficiency and data accuracy.
    • Streamline administrative processes to reduce redundancy and enhance employee self-service capabilities.
    • Ensure data security and confidentiality in all HR systems and processes.
  9. ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Leadership & Team Management
    • ​​​​​​​Supervise and develop HR team members across campuses, providing coaching, mentoring, and support to help them thrive.
    • Build a strong internal HR culture focused on service excellence, innovation, and collaboration.
