Purpose

The Primary Classroom Co. Teacher plays a crucial role in laying the foundation for lifelong learning and development in young children. Their primary purpose is to create a nurturing, engaging, and inclusive environment where children can develop the essential social, emotional, cognitive, and physical skills necessary for success in an international, multicultural setting.


Qualifications & Experience

  • A degree in Lower Primary Education, Child Development, or a related field. (Master’s degree is an advantage)
  • A recognized teaching license or certification (e.g., PGCE, Early Years Teaching Certificate) is required.
  • Experience working with a diverse student population and adapting teaching strategies to meet varied developmental needs.

  1. Curriculum Planning and Instruction:
    • Develop and implement a play-based, inquiry-driven curriculum that caters to the holistic development of young learners in line with international standards.
    • Incorporate various learning areas—language, mathematics, science, social studies, art, and physical development—into engaging and age-appropriate lesson plans.
    • Differentiate instruction to meet the individual needs of each child, fostering both independent and collaborative learning.
  2. Classroom Management and Environment:
    • Create a positive, inclusive, and secure classroom environment where children feel supported and encouraged to explore and learn.
    • Implement proactive strategies and positive reinforcement to guide behavior and promote social-emotional development.
    • Organize and maintain learning centers that stimulate curiosity and provide opportunities for independent and group activities.
  3. Assessment and Monitoring:
    • Regularly assess students’ progress through observation, informal assessments, and age-appropriate evaluations.

Purpose

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.

  4. Utilize evidence-based interventions to support students' abilities in tasks such as handwriting, cutting, organizational skills, and adaptive behavior.
  5. Modify and adapt classroom environments, tools, and materials to accommodate students with physical, sensory, or cognitive challenges.
  6. Collaborate with educators to integrate occupational therapy strategies into daily classroom activities and routines.
  7. Educate school staff and parents about ways to support students’ sensory and motor needs, offering training and resources as necessary.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Psychology, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
