PRIMARY (AGE 5-10)
Inspiring Confident Learners Through the Cambridge Primary Programme
Our Teaching Approach
Our approach is guided by the Cambridge learner attributes, encouraging students to become confident, responsible, reflective, innovative, and engaged.
Lessons are delivered through an inquiry-based, student-centered model, fostering curiosity and encouraging children to ask questions, explore ideas, and share discoveries.
Classrooms are creative spaces designed to support collaboration, critical thinking, and differentiated instruction for a variety of learning styles.
Our Curriculum
The Cambridge Primary Curriculum supports a well-rounded education that includes key academic subjects and personal development. Our programme includes:
English
Students build strong communication and literacy skills through a phonics-based approach, interactive reading experiences, and writing activities that connect to real-life contexts and cross-curricular topics. Grammar, vocabulary, and comprehension are taught in meaningful ways to strengthen language understanding.
Mathematics
Using a hands-on Concrete–Pictorial–Abstract (CPA) approach, students explore mathematical concepts through practical problem-solving activities. Lessons emphasize reasoning, fluency, and application to help learners gain confidence and mastery in numbers, shape, space, and measurement.
Science
Science is taught through experiential and investigative learning, where students explore the natural world, carry out simple experiments, and build an understanding of scientific concepts through inquiry and observation.
Cross-Curricular Learning
Themes and projects connect areas such as global perspectives, geography, history, and the arts. These integrated units help students make meaningful connections across subjects and develop skills like teamwork, communication, and critical thinking.
Inclusive and Individualized Support
At ProEd, we recognize that each child is unique and may need different levels of support to thrive. We provide:
In-class and targeted support from Speech and Language Therapists and Occupational Therapists, ensuring strategies are embedded in learning.
Access to the ASDAN Towards Independence curriculum for students who benefit from life-skills-focused, functional learning pathways.
English as a Second Language (ESL) supports both within the classroom and through dedicated morning support classes to boost language acquisition and confidence.
A personalised approach that values close collaboration between families and educators to ensure every child receives the care, encouragement, and attention they need.
